Terms of Service

• You must create an account to purchase a subscription
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
• You are responsible for all activity under your account

We offer three licence tiers. Editorial: permitted for news, education, commentary, museum exhibitions, and academic publications; prohibited for advertising and marketing. Commercial: permitted for advertising campaigns, marketing materials, corporate communications, websites, and social media; prohibited for resale as prints or merchandise for resale. Extended: permitted for all commercial uses plus merchandise, products for resale, and unlimited print runs; prohibited for resale of the image itself as a standalone product.

You may NOT: Resell, redistribute, or sub-licence images to third parties; Use images in defamatory, pornographic, or unlawful contexts; Register images as trademarks or claim ownership; Remove or alter photographer credits, copyright notices, or metadata; Use images in AI training datasets or machine learning models without explicit written consent; Create NFTs or blockchain-based assets from licensed images without explicit written consent.

You must credit the photographer as: “Photo by [Photographer Name] / Akuraa”. Attribution must appear in print adjacent to the image, online in the image caption or credits page, and in exhibitions on wall text or exhibition materials.

“Yes” = signed model release on file (commercial use permitted). “No” = no model release (editorial use only). “Not Required” = no identifiable people or private property. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with the model release status.

• Subscriptions are billed annually in advance
• Included downloads are valid for 12 months from purchase date
• Unused downloads roll over for 12 months, then expire
• Overage downloads are billed at £25 per image beyond your included credits

• Subscriptions auto-renew annually unless cancelled
• To cancel: email hello@akuraavisuals.com with 30 days' notice before renewal date
• No refunds for partial subscription periods
• You retain access through the end of your paid period after cancellation

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Existing subscribers will be notified 60 days before renewal at the new rate. Founding subscribers receive locked-in rates.

• Credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) via Stripe
• Bank transfers for institutional subscriptions over £2,000

All prices are in GBP (£) and exclude applicable taxes (VAT, GST, etc.). You are responsible for all taxes.

If payment fails, we'll attempt to process payment up to 3 times. Your account may be suspended until payment is received.

Photographers retain full copyright ownership of their images. You are purchasing a licence to use the image, not ownership of the copyright.

All Platform content (website design, text, logos, interface) is owned by Akuraa and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may terminate your account at any time by emailing hello@akuraavisuals.com.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or we cease operations.

• Previously purchased licences remain valid (perpetual licences survive termination)
• Access to your account and unused downloads will be revoked
• No refunds for terminated accounts

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in London, England, except you may bring claims in small claims court, and we may seek injunctive relief in any court.

You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class action or collective proceeding.
